We are happy to say that with the latest features of the Sportal365 content management system creators can preview football widgets from the block menu before adding them to their post. Also, we add a new Team form widget and Polls block that let journalists engage their audience even more.

Release 3.13.0. introduces a functionality allowing creators to preview Football widget blocks before adding them to Articles, Videos, or Galleries.

The preview offers a look at how the widget will display inside your post, as well as gives a short summary of the widget. This helps journalists quickly decide whether it is the right widget to use or not.

 To preview a widget from the Block menu:

1. Select the + button used for adding blocks.

2. Then, select Football widgets.

3. Once the Football widgets menu expands, hover over a widget to preview it.

Team form widget

The Team form widget is a new football widget that lets journalists show how a team is performing after a specific number of matches.

The Team form widget looks at the performance of a team during the last 15 matches (15 is the match limit), adds the points from each Win (3) /Loss (0) /Draw (1), and then divides it by the total number of points (12pt.) to display how the team is doing i.e. Bad/Good/Very good/Excellent.

Adding the Team form widget to a post

To add a Team form widget to a post (Article, Video, or Gallery):

1. Select the + button to open the Block menu.

2. Then, Football widgets-->Team form.

3. Once the widget configuration panel opens, enter a Team / Tournament / Season and set a Match limit.

4. When done, select Save Block.

Polls block

With this latest update of the Sportal365 CMS, we add a Polls block to the Content blocks menu. Now, you can add a poll to your Article, Video, and Gallery as a new block directly from the body of your post.

Adding a Poll block to your post

To add a Poll block to your post, you need to create a poll first. See How to create a new poll.

After you have created a poll:

1. Select the + button to expand the Blocks menu.

2. Then, select Content-->Polls.

3. When theconfiguration screen opens, enter the name of your created poll inside the Choose poll box.

4. When done, select Save block.

The latest release of the Sportal365 system introduces new features, as well as several improvements to Tags, Categories, and Lists.

Now, depending on the football connections you select in the Tags tab of your post, you get more Upcoming/Past matches suggestion to choose from than before. Moreover, we have added a filter that can further help you segment your match search.

More Upcoming/Past matches suggestions

We have greatly expanded the number of suggested matches users can pick from in the Upcoming/Past matches section.

As you know, when you enter a football connection–say, Manchester United–, the system offers Past/Upcoming matches to tag your post with. However, so far, the CMS offered as suggestions only the last 7 matches connected to a certain team/player.

We have added a new Load more button that lets you browse a larger number of matches.

New match filter

Another improvement to the Tags section is the Matches filter that lets you create detailed match searches defined by Tournament and Date.

Better Category organization

Release 3.13.0. greatly simplifies the experience of creating categories and arranging them in any order you want.

Now, once you create categories, you can (re)arrange them in any way you want. To create a hierarchical tree, you have to simply select a category from the Category dashboard and drag/drop it under another category. The more sub-categories you add, the longer the parent/child structure and vice versa.

Faster List editing

With the latest update, when you edit a list, you can add content faster.

Before when you wanted to add a post (Article, Video, or Gallery) to an already created list, you had to type in and search for available content.

At present, you can still do it, but after you select the type of post you want to search for–Article, Video, Gallery–, the system offers you the last 20 pieces of content depending on your content type selection. It could be The last 20 Videos/ Articles/Galleries.
