We are happy to announce an update to the Match widget.

As you know, the Match widgets is a great way to add statistical and odds information about a specific match to the body of your Article (Video or Gallery).

With release 3.17.0., we’ve added the option to compare the performances of two teams against each other by putting them Head-to-Head (H2H). In simple words, this means we have added an H2H tab to the ones that were already there–Overview, Details, Squads, Stats. But in reality, this feature gives creators the chance to create more context by displaying the history of the matches played between two teams. It is something like the Player H2H widget, but for teams.

To add an H2H comparison to your Match widget, follow the steps we’ve described before

We’ve talked about Lists and you know how useful they are when you want to group several Articles / Videos / Galleries and display them wherever you want on your website.

Now, we’ve added the possibility to lock an article from a list in a certain position. Say, if you have a top news article that you want to keep in a central position but move around/change all other articles in the list.

Locking a position in a list

To lock an Article / Video / Gallery in a list:

1. Go to the Lists main dashboard à Select a list à Edit.

2. Once the list opens, go to the Lock position box.

3. Select the box or the drop-down arrow on the side to pick a position to lock.

4.  Pick a position to lock and select Save Article.

Note that you can lock more than one position.

Remember, once you lock an article in a certain position in your list, you can still edit the content of the list by selecting the Edit Comment button and re-arrange the position of all other articles that are not locked.  

Release 3.17.0. adds an update to the main content types created with Sportal365 i.e. Articles / Videos / Galleries.

From now on, the Views and Comments an article/video/gallery receives on your website will be also available inside the CMS. Think of it as a views and comments counter accessible through the platform as well, which lets you optimise the use of your content. For example, if you see that an article has received many views and comments, you may decide to move it up on your website, promote it, or put it in a list of related articles to create a greater impact.

Views and Comments are accessible in your article/video/gallery listings section.

As you know, Matches is like the CMS’s storage of match-related information, which affects statistical widgets data suggested and used in your posts.

Until now, you could update Match details and Teams, butwith release 3.17.0 we add the option to also update Events.

Events let you edit information related to all the important things that have happened during a match–penalties, yellow cards, substitutions, players, and so on.

Accessing Events in Matches

To access Events in Matches:

1. Select Matches from the dashboard.

2. One inside, enter a team in the Search box.

3. You will be offered several matches to choose from, select the one you want to edit.

4. This will open a screen with three tabs–Match details / Teams / Events.

5. Select Events.

6. When you are done editing, select Save Events.
