titleImprovement to Lists separation: Editorial & Sports

Let’s start with the improvement to the Lists functionality.

With version 3.33.0. of Sportal365 comes an update to the platform's Lists functionality.

From now, you’ll be able to create two types of lists:

  • Editorial Lists

  • Lists based on Tags and Sports connections

Editorial Lists

Editorial Lists is actually what the Lists feature used to be before; a way to group together only editorial content using the three major content types i.e. Articles, Videos, and Galleries.

The creation of such lists follows the already familiar flow of list creation.

Creating an Editorial List

To create an Editorial List:

  1. Select Lists Editorial.

2. Select the New list button and fill in the required info. When done, select Save list.

3. Then, to add content to your list, go back to the editorial lists dashboard, select the list you created → Edit content.

4.  Select the type of content to add – Article, Video, Gallery -- in the Available content search box.

5. When you add the content to your list, select Save list.

List based on Tags and Sports connections

And here comes the new feature.

Unlike Editorial Lists, lists created using tags and sports connections let you group content based on, well, tags and sports connections you’ve created/added. Not editorial content such as articles, videos, and galleries.

By creating lists with tags and sports connections, you give yourself the chance to create sections with “hot topics” across your website portfolio. This means that when you click on a “hot topic” on your website, it will take you to a page with content only related to the specific tag/sports connection you’ve used to create your list.

Creating Lists using Tags and Sports connections

To create a Tags and Sports connections List:

  1. Select Lists Tags & Sports connections.

2. Select the New list button and fill in the required info. When done, select Save list.

3. Then, to add content to your list, go back to the lists dashboard, select the list you created → Edit content.

4.  Select the type of content to add – Tags or Sports connections – in the Available content search box.

5. When you add the content to your list, select Save list.

titleTags improvementsImprovements to tags

Tags are an important tool in the arsenal of every content creator. Sportal365’s latest update introduces two improvements to tags that enhance your experience and bring order to your daily use of tags.

More Tags displayed in search

This is an update to the way you search tags in the tags section of the content properties available for optimization of Articles, Videos, and Galleries.

Now, when you search for a tag to add to your content, you will be able to view and access more search results than before.

Optimized Tag rearrangement

We know, and you know, that trying to change the position of a tag (when you have too many) created problems in the past. The experience was slow at best.

That’s why we roll out an improvement that’ll to optimize the process. To be able the smoothly change the position of a tag in your tags dashboard, you first have to activate the drag/drop feature.

Enabling change of tags position

To enable drag/dropping of a tag in your list:

  1. Select Tags from the navigation.

When you change the status of a tag -- from unordered to ordered --, the tag will be displayed on top of your tags list. Also, this will display a number in front of the tag, which you can use to change the tag's position.

Info

Note that when a tag has an unordered status, you’ll not be able to drag/drop it, the number in front of it won’t be visible and it will be displayed at the bottom of your tags list.
