Emoticons or emojis is a feature that will help helps journalists make their posts more engaging and cater to an audience used to consuming content infused with interactive and visually appealing elements.

Note that you can insert emojis in the titles, straplines, and text blocks of articles, videos, and galleries.

How to add an emoji?

To add an emojis to the title/strapline of an article, video or gallery:

  1. Go to the navigation menu à Articles (Video or Gallery)

  2. Create New Article /Select or select an existing articleone from the list.

  3. In the Tile and Strapline boxes, select the smiley face to expand the emojis list.

4. Find the emoji you want to add and select it.

If you want to add an emoji in the body of your post:

  1. Select a text block as you are ready to write.

  2. When the block’s editing panel opens, select the special characters sign to open the emojis menu.

3. Choose the emoji you want to add and select it.

4. When done, Save Article.

Note that you can only add emojis to a text block.

titleDuplication of articles, videos, galleries

The duplication of posts is a new feature that lets journalists and editors clone an existing post, edit it, and save it as new. It increases the speed of content creation in such cases when journalists cover pre -and post-game events (e.g. press conferences) or cover a developing story.

How to duplicate and article, video, or gallery?

To copy a post and clone it, you need to first choose whether you want to duplicate an article, video, or a gallery.

To do so:

  1. Go to the navigation menu à Articles (Videos or Galleries)

  2. Choose the article you want to duplicate and go to the Edit button.

  3. Expand the Edit button à Copy Article.

Once you select the copy option, a new Create Article screen with the content of the original article will open. Also, you will notice that there is a [Copy] in front of the post’s title to indicate that this is a duplicated post.

  1.  Edit the posts content → Save Article.

Info

Note that to preserve your duplicated post you need to save it. It’s not automatically saved when you clone it.
