Hello everyone,

We are happy to announce the latest release of the Sportal365 content management system.

This latest update offers several new features and improvements that introduce more flexibility to the work with lists and matches, as well as more options for creating sports-rich content.

What’s new?

 Match widget H2H section

We are happy to announce an update to the Match widget.

As you know, the Match widgets is a great way to add statistical and odds information about a specific match to the body of your Article / Video / Gallery.

With release 3.17.0., we’ve added the option to compare the performances of two teams against each other by putting them Head-to-Head (H2H).

In simple words, we have added an H2H tab to the ones that were already there–Overview, Details, Squads, Stats– so that creators can display the history of the matches played between two teams. It is something like the Player H2H widget, but for teams.

To add an H2H comparison, follow the steps we’ve described for adding a Match widget.

 Locking positions in Lists

We’ve talked about Lists, and you know how useful they are when you want to group several Articles / Videos / Galleries and display them wherever you want on your website.

Now, we’ve added the possibility to lock an article from a list in a certain position. Say, if you have a top news article that you want to keep in a central position but move around / change all other articles in the list.

Locking positions in a list

To lock an Article / Video / Gallery in specific position:

  1. Go to the Lists main dashboard, select a list → Edit.

  2. Once the list opens, go to the Lock position box.

3. Select the box or the drop-down arrow on the side to pick a position to lock.

4. Pick a position to lock and select Save Article.

When you lock an article from a list, a lock pad will appear on the screen.

Remember, once you lock an article in a certain position in your list, you can still edit the content of the list by selecting the Edit Comment button and re-arrange the position of all other articles that are not locked.  

Note that you can lock more than one position.

 Views & Comments counter for Articles / Galleries / Videos

Release 3.17.0. adds an update to the main content types created with Sportal365 i.e. Articles / Videos / Galleries.

From now on, the number of views and comments an Article / Video / Gallery receives on your website will be also visible inside the CMS. Think of it as a views and comments counter accessible through the platform, which lets you optimise the use of your content. For example, if you see that an article has received many views and comments, you may decide to move it up on your website, promote it, or put it in a list of related articles to create a greater impact.

Views and Comments are accessible from your Article / Video / Gallery listings section.
