About Sportal365

In this section, you will find answers to general questions about the Sportal365 content management system.

Sportal365 is a headless content management system (CMS) designed to serve the needs of sports media, bookmakers, and sports rights holders.

At its core, the CMS allows the creation of well-rounded content by integrating sports data, editorial content, and social media into a single article, keeping all information in one place.

The platform is designed to enable creators to perform fast and extensive coverage of sports events and deliver it on any device without being dependent on one data provider.

See Concept for more details.

The difference between a headless CMS such as Sportal365 and a traditional CMS (WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal) lies in the architecture of the systems.

In a traditional content management system, the back end and front end are tightly connected. Content is pushed from a database to a predefined layout. The back end lets users create, store, manage, and publish content, while the front end offers built-in templates and is responsible for how content is presented.

On the flip side, a headless CMS has the “head”(front end) removed from the body (back end). A headless CMS has no predefined templates for displaying data and lets users publish content on any device. Such systems come with a back end for content and storage management and an application programming interface (API) for connecting the back end to any front-end application.

Yes. Normally, clients develop their own front end and connect it to the CMS, but to make things easier, we have developed a tool based on WordPress that lets you launch a website without writing code. Generally speaking, you download WordPress, we give you our in-house developed plug-in and a basic version of your website is ready.

The Sportal365 CMS supports and gives you granular control over four major content types – articles, videos, galleries, and images.

In addition, the system allows you to integrate and manage statistical sports widgets in your posts, as well as social media data.

See Support for various content types.

As a headless CMS, Sportal365 doesn’t come with predefined templates but lets you publish your content to any device (website, wearable, application, and so on).

To publish content to a front-end framework (i.e. website) you want, you first must build it and then integrate with our back end using our APIs.
