Preview of videos inside posts

One of the first upgrades we are happy to introduce with release 3.19.0. is to the video blocks inside Articles / Videos / Galleries.  Now, when you add a video block to the body of a post, you can preview it inside the CMS.

This video preview feature lets you check if the video you want to add to the body of your Article / Video / Gallery works before you upload it to your website.

Previewing a video inside a post

To preview a video inside an Article / Video / Gallery:

1. Add a Video block to the body of your content.

Open

2. In the Choose video box, type in the video you want to add.

3. A preview of the video will appear inside the block.

4. Select Save Block to save it.

5. When you save the video block, you’ll notice a preview of the video but also of the video’s main media image.

Also, remember that to add a video block to a post, you first have to upload a video to the platform.

Quick access to daily created content

As you know, we are all about making the experience of creators with Sportl365 as easy and efficient as possible.

That’s why with this latest update, we introduce a shortcut that lets users access–straight from their dashboard–all the Articles / Videos / Galleries they have created in the last 12 hours.

To access My content simply open your Sportal365 Dashboard.

And, well, that’s it.

Preview of embedded content

To be able to preview the content of an Embed code block inside the CMS is a great feature because creators can examine if the social media / video they want to add to their post works; before publishing it online for everyone to see.

You can preview Social or Video embedded content. If you select the Social option, you can embed code from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In case you select the Video option, you can embed content from YouTube and Vimeo.

Previewing embedded content

To preview embedded content from Facebook:

1. Go to the post you want to embed on Facebook and select Embed from the top right corner menu.

2. Then, select Advanced Settings.

3. Next, select Get Code.

4. Select the code from Step 2.

Follow the same process for embedding videos from Instagram and Twitter. If you want to embed video content, select the Video option and do the same.

Detailed tournament translations

Translations is an already familiar feature designed to improve the quality of your copy, and save creators time when they translate from English to another language the names of coaches, venues, tournaments, teams, players, and so on.

With release 3.19.0., we’ve added an improvement to the translation of tournament-related data. We’ve added a Season box, which lets creators access and translate information for all teams from a certain season.

Moreover, we have added a new module with translation options for each team, so that creators can enjoy detailed info without leaving the page.

Translating data for specific season

To translate tournament-related data for a specific season:

1. Select your language in Translate to, and choose Tournament in the Entity box.

2. When the Tournament panel opens, select Tournament.

3. Once you do that, a Season box will appear where you need to select a season.

4. Then, a Teams panel will open with a selection of teams for translation.

5. Pick a team to translate and select the Translate button.

6. A Translate team panel will open with detailed team information for translation.

7. When done, select Save Translation.

Adding image description from Image block

Release 3.19.0. introduces an improvement to image descriptions.

From now on, when you add an Image block to an Article / Video / Gallery and add a description to an image, the description will be reflected in the All images repository as well.

This way, when you add the image to a Gallery, there will be no need to add a description again.

Also, it makes it easier to search for images in the All images repository.

Change team shirt color in Match widget

Release 3.19.0. unveils an improvement to the Match widget, which allows content creators to change the color of teams.

The widget is set up to display by default the home team in blue and the guest team in red. However, in football often there are infamous rivalries between teams with red and blue uniforms, and football fans would not appreciate their favorite blue team to be represented in red as a guest.

Main image as mandatory field

As you know, the Tile and Category fields are mandatory for saving a new Article / Video / Gallery. With the latest update of Sportal365, we’ve added the option to make adding a Main image also a mandatory field.

All content titles are active links

We constantly think about improving the efficiency of content creators, and we’ve updated all content titles to be active links. This allows for quick access and editing of content.

Better editing experience

We have updated the user experience and now when you are editing an article located, say, on page 5 inside the CMS, you’ll stay on page 5 after you’re done with your edit instead of being taken to page number 1 as before.

Quick pasting of long text

Before when you pasted a long interview or an article inside the body of an Article / Video / Gallery using the Paste text at top/bottom button–it took forever. Now, the pasting of long text happens instantly.
